during our time in berlin we stayed at our friend K’s house - thanks K!! a very cosy apartment in kreuzberg. more friends were in berlin at the same time which only added to the fun. we cooked, walked, played table tennis and drank beers and i got to try out my new lens’ portrait capabilities. truly good times.

- gracia: thanks for the sweet words gracia!
- allison: thank you! and yes there are many similarities in those two photos. i started out placing them next to eachother but that proved too much because of the dynamic in both of them.
- kiwi: yeah i really like that lamp as well - very 70s! the photo is taken outside a huge second hand store in the area of berlin called prenzlauer berg. they had all kinds of fabulous dresses and racks and racks of vintage shoes. i could have stayed in there for hours : )
- rynke: thank you, glad you like ‘em. the last photo is taken at a street festival/party in a street called bergmannstraße nearby where we lived. i have so many photos from that day and considered doing a whole post only from that event. the papers hanging along the street are school assignments about the time during the wall and how it affected people in the area. written by 7th or 8th graders.
- lotte: danke schön frau fruenswerk : )
- marga: hello marga! thanks for commenting, happy to know that you are a fellow birdheart’er : )
- ai: thanks ai. nice to hear your opinion about the lens.
- kinako: hi kinako, and thank you - the third photo is taken at a street festival. we watched the guy who was in charge of getting all those flags up working like crazy running up and down stairs and throwing these wires out of the windows in different apartments and mounting them on the street. the result looked magical. if you get the chance go to berlin - it really is a great city!
- nathalie: thanks nathalie, i’m a food photo fan as well : ) and yeah that man in the last photo really makes you smile, looking like and grey haired happy hippie. he has a great attitude!

Looks like you had a really good time in Berlin. We used to have a table tennis table in our garage when I was young - I kind of miss it, although I wasn’t very good at it. (PS I love the picture of the man lighting the cigarette - very atmospheric!)

Flotte Berlin!

I’m in love with all your Berlin pictures!!! What camera do you use? I wonder if the Canon lens could fit on my Nikon (I drop and bang my camera/lens all the time too and I really need some new cheap lenses).
