walking in an almost completely white landscape today

we are seeing family and friends over the holidays and accross the country.

wishing you all a lovely christmas and a happy new year!

an old lamp foot from my grandparents house wearing a new le klint lampshade. i like it! tomorrow is my last day at work before christmas. thanks for all your comments lately and merry christmas everybody!

i went to a christmas party this friday held in a rowing club. the hallway was decorated with old photos of rowing teams. i’m not sure when they were taken, maybe around 1900. i love how proud they look, with medals and awards and the fact that they are all portrayed wearing their sports equipment in a bourgeois interior.

i’m getting ready for christmas finding places here and there for small christmas decorations.

i’ve been hanging crocheted crystals in my window. i got them from my late grandmother and haven’t found a way to use them until now. to starch them i have used potato flour dissolved in water and later ironing. i have been trying to find the blog where i originally saw this type of decoration but with no luck.
have a great sunday! i’m going christmas shopping

not much has changed…

i’m still practising my knitting skills and finding it quite fun. so far i have only knitted for little people as it is a lot quicker. i’m trying to find a nice cardigan pattern for myself though.
i used this recipe for the baby cardigan.
stay warm! - it’s snowy and windy in copenhagen these days. brrrrrr.

we have been fortunate enough to inherit some royal copenhagen porcelain from NE’s family. it sure makes breakfast look pretty!
