as promised - some photos from a new Olafur Eliasson exhibition at ARKEN Museum of Modern Art. it’s a 90 meters long tunnel filled with dense fog and light. it’s hard to describe what it feels like to be walking inside a long passage where all you can see is fog and light that goes from white to black to intense yellow and white again but its an amazing experience! the first photo is by me and the other three press photos from the exhibition. its called Din blinde passager - Your blind passenger.

copenhagen photo festival is coming up and i’m looking forward! the festival will present both significant danish and international contemporary photographers, spread out across the city with exhibitions in art institutions, galleries and urban spaces. it runs from may 12th – 20th starting with the main exhibition day & night on may 12th.

from tomorrow and until the end of the festival there’s also a photo competition, where everyone can contribute with their own pictures of copenhagen. one taken during the day and one at night, with the chance of winning a canon EOS 550 D - i sure wouldn’t mind : )

have a great weekend folks! i’ll show you some photos of my latest knitting project tomorrow. it involves small pom poms…

have a great weekend you all! i’m going to prague today and until monday. i’m really looking forward it and i will take as many photos as my memory card will allow me. see you soon!

keith loutit

Saturday, May 2nd, 2009

do you know the australian photographer keith loutit? i saw some of his photos some time ago and was deeply fascinated with his ability to make everyday scenarios look like a miniature model world. i didn’t catch his name back then and have been trying to find out until i stumbled upon a video of his yesterday. the technique he uses is called tilt-shift photography. you can see all his videos on his vimeo site and i can highly recommend all of them - i particularly liked the one called “the north wind blew south” but that’s probably also due to the great tune accompanying it.

art from code

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

i found this fascinating website called art from code the other day. it’s a page - as the title implies - about code generated art with pictures made by keith peters. i am really amazed by the organic shapes and patterns that he can create purely by coding in actionscript.

life in polaroid

Saturday, January 24th, 2009

so it seems i’m the last one to know about the poladroid software that enables you to make regular jpegs look like polaroid pictures. it’s so much fun (i don’t want to count the hours i have already spend feeding this wonder machine with my photos) and quite drastically changes the look of the images. happy weekend everyone!
