breakfast this morning

the postman brought me an interesting package some days ago. it was from irene of såg ungefär ut så här. she send me some beautiful, beautiful prints - thanks irene! so very sweet of you, it really made my day. : )

these pictures are from this weekend. its hotter than i can ever remember and very humid. phew…we’ve been staying inside mostly planning the wedding (its our wedding invitations in the last photo) but also our vacation. i’ll tell you more about it soon!

a recent shrift store find

cakes from the celebration of brinja’s shop’s 5th birthday yesterday. boy they were good! my little “garden” has finally come to life - well at least a little bit. small green sprouts have appeared (only the rosemary is still sleeping). hope you’ll have a great friday folks!

some random photos from the apartment i took today. i feel like breaking my habit when it comes to taking photos. i always tend to take very static and no-people-in-sight photos (well you probably have noticed by now). : ) i really want to expand my photographic vision and choice of subject..we’ll see how it goes!

it’s the most beautiful sunshine today, so i started the day with a nice little walk around my neighbourhood. spring makes me long for a garden. i find working with plants such a relaxing thing to do. my substitute garden you can see in the second photo, i have been planting herbs - basil, coriander, rosmary and thyme, my favorites. i know that having them indoors probably means they won’t live very long but that’s okay.

oh almost forgot to mention the baby hats in the last picture. i found some nice alpaca yarn a while ago and i’m not sure i can ever go back. it’s incredibly soft and very nice to work with. anyway after making the two first hats i had to make another two with this yarn. i put two small pom poms on the blue one, never knew knitting could be so much fun - it’s a whole new world to me : )

phew, the weekend is finally here. i have no plans other than sleeping a lot and relaxing. what are your plans? i really hope to get back to posting regularly again soon!

saw this beautiful tree reflextion on my way to work yesterday. and you might recognize these red branches from a couple of posts back. they are now wearing small green leaves.

i’ve been out of the loop for more than a week. don’t know what happened. from today and almost a week ahead i’m on easter holiday - feels great!

pictures from my grandmother’s kitchen and from at home. i got the red spring branches from her garden.

the first photo is of a parking space tag of some sort (seen in oslo). second photo is of the last two remaining pancakes from the pile of pancakes i made this sunday. oh well, two pancakes on a monday isn’t half bad. : )

i really enjoyed NE’s chess tournament photos yesterday. as several of you noted their concentration is almost palpable - thanks for sharing NE!
